Coaching Staff

Graig Butler

This is my 4th year coaching. I have previously played for the Austin Huns Rugby Club.  I am a Professional Youth Mentor and am dedicated to raising men of character, sustaining rugby’s family atmosphere, and expanding player opportunities at the next level.

Kevin Beykirch

I am a multi-year coach of entry level players. I love introducing this sport to young men and women and watching their confidence and skills grow. I love this game, but more importantly thrive on watching youth grow and accomplish their goals, overcome their fears, and embrace their individual strength.

Erin Winsper

I played and coached women's club rugby for over a decade and this is my second spring season with the Liberty Warriors. Rugby is a culture of testing and applying yourself for the betterment of the team with few isolated spotlights of individual glory. It makes my heart smile to introduce these aspiring athletes to this glorious sport and this community that will continue to be in support of them on and off the pitch.

Cale Coast

I have played for 13 years for various teams, but primarily the Coeur D’ Alene Men’s Club and was elected Captain for 5 years.  I am passionate about the sport and have moved on to referee and coach the next generation of rugby players. This is the best sport on earth.

Alex Feero

I played rugby at Eastern Washington university. I helped coach some rugby in Spokane a few years ago, with the now defunct Spokane Goth. I am excited to help kids learn how fun and supportive being part of a team can be.

James Tennery

I have played and coached rugby since I was 14 years old. I have been blessed to have played Rugby in 10 countries in the Marines and U19 Select Rugby. I have played for clubs all over the US with my last club being the Vacaville Old Dogs. I am committed to growing the sport and preserving rugby’s unique culture. I am here to not only build great rugby players but, better humans. (Team Photographer)

Gerald Deocariza Jr.

Played for a few years at Gonzaga, then continued to pursue a lifestyle embodying these values I learned from rugby: character, grit, and community. I truly love being a part of this culture, and I enjoy being able to share these moments with others, both on and off the pitch! Let's go!

Colton D'Agostino

I have played rugby for the Tempe Old Devils Arizona State University Alumni U-19 team and multiple club teams around the United States. My rugby experience has led to scholarship opportunities, beingselected for Arizona’s national U-19 team, and being selected for the United States Air Force enlisted rugby club.

High School

Coaching Staff

Darin Christensen

Played Rugby at Brigham Young University and ten years of adult club rugby in the Seattle area.  I have coached Middle School and High School for the past 6 years. I love the opportunity to share the perfect game with youth and be a part of their growth.

Riley Stewart

For ten years I have been either playing or coaching rugby. I played through high school and college, and am now coaching. I started the North Idaho Highlanders rugby team in 2014, and I am excited to continue to grow the sport. I am looking forward to helping the kids gain a positive growth mindset and developing grit. It truly is a sport for everyone!

Noah Lata

I was fortunate enough to grow up around the spirt of rugby and play All over the western United States and in Australia. I’m very passionate about the sport and helping others develop their skills and knowledge of the game!

Erik Hartley - Head Coach

I’m honored to join the Liberty Warriors as the u10 head coach. I grew up playing rugby. In addition to my years domestically, I played 3 seasons overseas where I played top club rugby in Wellington and Christchurch, as well a stint in London and even Norway! Here in America, I played for the Kansas City blues from 2012 to 2018. My proudest moments are certainly our years as a top sevens program. My positions ranged from 9, 10 and 15. With most time coming at 15. As an accomplished kicker, I look to help anyone interested in kicking. In my personal life, I am married and have two children. My oldest will be playing this season, as well.
